What documents do I need to rent a car?
To rent a car, you will need a valid and current driving licence, an identification document (ID card or passport), and a credit card in the name of the reservation holder.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
The minimum age to rent a car with Carzoco is 21 years old. Drivers under 25 years old will be subject to a young driver surcharge.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Yes, the price includes mandatory basic insurance covering third-party damages, and our Premium Insurance, which covers damage to the rental vehicle. This comprehensive coverage ensures you can travel with peace of mind, as you will be protected against most unforeseen events. However, please note that Premium Insurance does not cover negligence, such as driving under the influence of alcohol, violating traffic regulations, or improper use of the vehicle.
How much is the security deposit?
The deposit varies depending on the type of car rented. It is blocked on your credit card and will be released when the vehicle is returned in the same condition it was received.
What payment methods are accepted?
At Carzoco, we only accept payments by credit or debit card. Cash payments are not accepted.
Is there a mileage limit?
Yes, the rental includes a limit of 300 kilometres per day, with a maximum of 3,000 kilometres per rental contract.

Can I take my rental car outside of Spain?
No, it is not permitted to leave the Spanish mainland without written authorization from Carzoco. Our cars are geolocated, and we will be notified if they leave Spain, which will incur a penalty fee as outlined in our terms and conditions.
Can I add additional drivers?
Yes, the second driver is completely free. A third driver can be added for €8.50 per day, up to a maximum of €102 per rental contract.
All additional drivers must present a valid driving licence and meet the minimum age requirements.
Do I need to return the car with a full tank?
All our vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If not, the missing fuel will be charged along with a refuelling fee.
Depending on the category booked, you may choose the Full-to-Empty option, where you can return the car with any fuel level. This option makes returning the car much more convenient, eliminating the need to find a petrol station before your flight or leave early to refuel.
Do I need to return the car clean?
You don’t need to wash the car before returning it, but it is expected to be in a reasonable condition. If the car is excessively dirty, such as with beach sand, stains on the upholstery, or food residues, a special cleaning fee will be applied.
Can I smoke or bring my pet in the rental car?
Smoking in the car is strictly prohibited. If cigarette odours or ash residues are detected, a special cleaning fee will be applied.
Pets are allowed. Carzoco is a pet-friendly company, so you can travel with your pet as long as they are in a carrier or use a protective cover to avoid leaving pet hair on the seats. If pet hair is found on the upholstery, an additional cleaning fee will be charged.
What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the rental start date. If you cancel after this period, cancellation fees may apply according to our policies.
Do you offer car delivery outside of the office?
Yes, by adding our Delivery Service to your reservation, you can choose to have the vehicle delivered directly to your hotel, apartment, or specified location.
